McDaniel College proudly presents the Carroll County Scholars (CCS) program, an extraordinary journey that will transform the academic life of Carroll County students and set them on the path to success. 

Carroll County Scholars isn't just a program; it's a promise. Beginning at the end of the 8th grade year, participating students and their families experience 4 years of educational and impactful programming crafted to support a successful college search. Through comprehensive support, CCS demystifies the college search process and nurtures the dreams of talented Carroll County students. Participants complete the program fully prepared to pursue their college aspirations, armed with knowledge, confidence, and, should they choose to enroll at McDaniel, a $100,000 McDaniel scholarship ($25,000 per year) in their pocket and the chance to be selected for a full tuition scholarship at the completion of the program.

Participants will gain valuable knowledge and strategies through a series of supportive workshops encompassing all aspects of the college process. Workshop topics throughout the program will be tailored to the cohorts’ stage in high school and the college search process and will be finalized in partnership with Carroll County Schools. At least two workshops will be held per year; each workshop is designed for families and will offer both student and parent/guardian sessions. Carroll County Scholars and their families will also be invited to two campus social events annually to deepen their relationship with McDaniel and introduce them to co-curricular college experiences.
